< 1 min read

There could be several reasons why a laptop might not detect or connect to a Wi-Fi network such as Wireless Adapter Issues, Wi-Fi Network Visibility, Signal Strength, Driver Problems, Operating System Issues, etc.

With that, manually connecting to the WIFI can be a solution. Just follow the following steps.

  1. Get the WIFI credentials which are WIFI SSID/Name and Password.
  2. Manually Add the WIFI
  3. Press Windows Key and Type “Manage Known Network”
  4. Click “Add Network”
  5. Type the WIFI Name/SSID (in a correct spelling, spaces and in characters)
  6. In Security, select “WPA2-Personal AES”
  7. Input the Security Key/Password
  8. Save.
  9. Now, click the WIFI icon discovery in taskbar (near the date and time), manual added WIFI must appear on the list. Select and connect whenever Necessary.

If you’re unable to troubleshoot the issue on your own, you might want to seek technical support from ITG.
